    Observations

    • THE THIRD DEVICE ON WHAT IS LIKELY THE SAME 96 × 96 SENSOR, alongside the already-documented GOYOJO GW192A and HABOTEST HT821A: the same 50° field of view, the same measurement-range family. TOOLTOP's datasheet is the most complete and transparent of the three: 'Infrared Sensor Resolution: 96 × 96' and 'Thermal Image Enhancement (TISR): 240 × 240' appear as two distinct, clearly labeled lines, with no possible ambiguity.
    • AN ADVERTISED IFOV OF 8.89 mrad, CONSISTENT WITH RECALCULATING from the 50° field of view and the sensor's actual 96 columns (8.7 mrad recalculated, within 2%): TOOLTOP calculates its IFOV from the native resolution rather than the displayed resolution, unlike brands that might have been tempted to use the inflated figure. This is the lowest spatial resolution in this entire comparison, consistent with such a low-resolution sensor.
    • An advertised NETD of 40 mK, a believable value for this price segment but with no measurement conditions specified.
