Observations
A MODEL DISTINCT FROM THE ALREADY-COVERED MILWAUKEE M12 2260-21 IN THIS COMPARISON, which helps resolve the confusion flagged on that model's own page: the 2258-21, marketed as the '7.8KP', has a native sensor of 102 × 77, i.e. precisely 7,854 pixels, confirmed this time by a source consistent with the commercial name. The 2260-21, according to other sources, has a 160 × 120 sensor. These are therefore two different devices in the same M12 family, not two names for the same product: the '7.8KP' name does indeed refer to the 2258-21 alone.
A distance-to-spot ratio of 83:1, one of the best in the entire comparison across every category, allowing readings from a good distance despite the low native resolution.
A 60 Hz frame rate like the 2260-21, with no export restriction mentioned for the entire Milwaukee range in this comparison.
