    Observations

    • A wide-angle variant of the already-covered M20 in this comparison. Same 256 × 192 sensor and same NETD, but the field of view is widened to 50° × 37.2° versus 25° × 18.8° for the standard model, at the cost of fixed focus instead of manual. The 'W' suffix ('Wide') therefore denotes an optical trade-off opposite to the M11's: more field, less ability to focus precisely.
    • A concrete illustration of the NETD-versus-IFOV trade-off documented in our dedicated article: with equal sensitivity, the M20 and M20W variants of the same sensor target opposite use cases depending on the chosen field of view.
