Guide PC210

€€€

256 × 192 native thermal sensor, NETD 45 mK, 25 Hz.

    49 152 points measured
Number of the sensor's measurement points, shown to the catalog's scale. The largest sensor in the database has 327 680 points.
    Published by the manufacturer

The best battery life in the comparison. An advertised 16 hours, nearly double the UNI-T UTi120S's 9 hours and four times a FLIR C5's 4 hours. Full charge in 2h30.

Geometric discrepancy to flag. The advertised field of view is 56° × 48°, a ratio of 1.17, while the 256 × 192 sensor has a ratio of 1.33. The two values are incompatible. The advertised IFOV of 3.75 mrad matches the horizontal field, not the vertical one.

    Observations

    • A NETD of 45 mK for a device sold around €340 excl. tax: better than the FLIR Ex Pro, the Bosch GTC, and the testo 860 series, all noticeably pricier.
    • A very wide 56° field of view, suited to scanning interior walls but poorly suited to circuit-board work.
    • SharpIR is presented as a composite image processing technique, not as a resolution boost: the advertised resolution is the native resolution.
    • Discontinued model, replaced by the Guide E2, but still widely available.
