A DIRECT, DOCUMENTED SUCCESSOR TO THE ALREADY-COVERED GUIDE PC210 IN THIS COMPARISON, whose own datasheet mentioned it being replaced by this model. Same 256 × 192 sensor, but three notable upgrades listed by the distributor: video recording, Wi-Fi connectivity with a real-time app, and firmware updates over Wi-Fi rather than by cable. The outer housing stays identical to the PC210 according to the same distributor — a rare case of complete mechanical continuity between two generations in this comparison.
SuperIR brings the display up to 512 × 384, a ratio of 4, absent from the PC210.
Internal memory goes from unmentioned on the PC210 to a documented 16 GB here.
An E2+ variant exists with autofocus and an advertised NETD of 45 mK, versus fixed focus for this standard model: not to be confused, the two names are very close.
